thefourths.com (established 2006) represents everything that a rugby team should be. It’s a team of friends who play hard, fair and with passion.

Most of thefourths (see the playas page) have played for Villagers RFC since the days of under 21 (now under 20) and have played for either the 1st, 2nd or 3rd teams. But as friends we weren’t always in the same team and as most of us only have one or two seasons left we decided to end our playing days on a high and having fun with each other. Hence the need to form a semi – closed side. And with the support of Villagers RFC thefourths.com were born.

Playing in the fourth league we hope to offer all our opposition good, fair and fun competition.... and one helluva snotklap.

But we also know it’s not just about rugby and the players. We will always be looking for ways to make thefourths.com experience as fun and worthwhile for the spectators and sponsors to support us. We are always thinking of ways to make it fun for the supporters... If it means bribing you with a bottle of ol brown to keep you warm on the sideline... So be it. Come down and shout you support from the sidelines as I’m sure the players will all appreciate it and find ways to show it.

Also keep checking our site for our fun things like the “after the match report” or date a playa and our golf day fundraisers. Ladies (and gents who play for the other team) watch this space for the 2007 Calendar featuring the team in our birthday suits.
